I woke up early this morning and you can really tell a difference in the weather. A welcomed chill is in the air, which is going to cool off the water temperatures and invite the %E2%80%9Cbigger%E2%80%9D fish back to our waters. The surf this morning had a strong northwest wind and some big rollers came in but that did not deter surf anglers on the Assateague ORV beach this morning. Anglers found that the small blues were still biting and that some larger blues were also hitting baits. Finger mullet on mullet rigs seemed to be the ticket for the larger 18" bluefish while kingfish and dogfish were hitting cut bait. This evening brought a lot of the same with dogfish being the primary action. A few kingfish also made a showing hitting on cut bait.
An upcoming event is the annual beach clean-up on Saturday, Sept. 23rd it will begin at 11am at parking lot %231and the clean up will end at 3pm. The fisrst 200 participants get donated shirts.

I'll update the offshore and bay fishing as soon as I get more information.
