Today was another spring-like, beautiful day on Assateague beach and the fishing wasn't bad either. Although the rockfish landed today were all just under legal size, there was enough action going on to keep everyone interested. Lucky Chucky reeled in 2 rock, one of which was just under legal while Leo landed one 20 some incher and Con also caught and released a short. Ranger Doug, who made his surf angling debut today, had a great day catching his first rockfish. The rock, that measured just over 26 inches, was released. Just before sunset, Rick V was surprised when he landed a 26 inch bluefish.

Anglers were treated to a visit today from Tom of Captain Steve's Bait and Tackle and his friend Doug. Unfortunately Tom and Doug were skunked today but did enjoy their leisure time on the beach with friends.

CHUCK with one of his 2 shorts caught today

CON with his rock

LEO finally has proof of a rock he caught

RICK with a nice blue, a few bigger blues are starting to show up..

Once again good luck and tight lines

Also today Capt. Brett did well fishing the inlet he had 5 rockfish all ranging between 26-29.5 inches. One keeper he said the action was steady out there and you could see bunker jumping out of the water.

Capt. Charlie Birch also recently got his website up here is the %5Blink%5Dhttp://www.chincoteaguecruises.com/%5B/link%5D
