Bright and sunny day and the fishing went well off the surf. Everyone on the surf this morning caught fish there were kingfish, spot, a couple of trout, and some smaller blues that were caught on finger mullet and mullet rigs. I got a chance to break away from the shop for an hour and had 4 kingfish missed a few while teaching my fiance's brother how to surffish it was a good time. John Rogers had a 35 pound and one 95 pound bluefin fishing on Daybreak fishing around the Lumpy Bottom. They had a 150 pound bull shark caught on bluefish. Jerry Zickefoose from Prince Frederick, MD. Went 8 miles off and had 2 sharks about 4 foot long using chunks of bunker and bunker chum. Everyone said it was a great day to be on the water, the seas were flat. John Heppler from Harrisburg, Pa had a good day with 4 keepers fishing at Queen Sound on top and bottom rigs.
from our surf reporter:
Was a good morning. Surf and wind were moderate. I got 8 kingfish in a couple hours, all on fishbites. Also caught quite a few small croaker and a spot. A group of 5 PA men w/7 rods out next to me got some king and what looked like 2 blues. Others along the beach seemed to be catching fish as well.-Rick
