Westerly winds and calm seas prevailed as four wheel drive trucks lined the beach in the ORV Zone today. It was a beautiful Sunday to be out fishing and a successful one for several anglers. In the morning, after the tide change, Rick V landed a 19 lb black drum on a fishfinder rig with peeler. Several small blues, a few kingfish and numerous sharks were also caught. The afternoon brought really flat seas that were lucky for two local anglers who landed a 36 in rock and an 18 lb drum. Small kingfish were also hitting in the afternoon. OtDG Rick reporting
SATURDAY SURF
Today we had some pretty stong winds out of the west that really helped your fish finder rig hit the sand bar off the beach. Early afternoon saw some small rockfish landed and released. These guys were in the 25 in range and were hitting on peelers and clams. In the late afternoon when the tide finally turned around, and most of the Over the Dune Gang called it a day, one lucky angler landed a 12 lb black drum while Rick V. brought in a 36 inch, 15 lb rock. Thanks OtDG Rick for that report. Nice rock.

I've been out of town. The fishing has been looking good. Thanks to the many friends who have been keeping me informed. I will also have the final some pictures and results posted from the flounder tournament this past weekend when I get back. ttyl Jimmy
