There were a 3 drum caught late yesterday afternoon off the surf using peelers. Also some flounder were picked up between Inlet View and Peyton Place in the Chincoteague Channel. Clark Whaley from MD had 3 keepers and caught 30 all together. The weather looks to be getting better. Today some flounder were caught in front of Memorial Park. The pier fishermen picked up some black sea bass, sharks, and a few skates.

The pyramid is the most common surf sinker it usually does the job. The disc sinker is popular for flounder fishing, its shape lets it skim the bottom. Bass casting sinkers work well when getting hung up as it can swivel out of structure. Egg sinkers are used to create a fish finder effect.
