Maybe it was the east wind and the rain, but for whatever reason the red drum made quite a showing at the Assateague ORV Zone for the gang of surf casters who showed up today. Mr Tony started the morning off with a 25 inch red drum. He followed that up with 3 short drum and an 18 inch keeper that he caught in the early afternoon. Late afternoon fishing in the driving rain was filled with action for anglers Leo, Chuck, Rick V and Bob of MD. Chuck lead the group with 8 red drum, 1 a keeper; Leo followed with 5, 1 a keeper; Rick V landed 4, 2 being keepers and Bob of MD, who picked a good day to show up to fish with Leo caught 2 reds. Congratulations guys.
