I'm back to the shop after a weeklong vacation to Southern Florida. There were some more drum and stripers brought in off the surf today. We also had a citation flounder brought in today pictured below caught by Bob. We have in live peelers, fresh clams, and the largest selection of frozen baits around too. We have been keeping busy as the store has been remodeled once again Tom, Pete, Carol, and the Admiral did a great job. Its mostly on the beach supply and souvenir part the store is a lot more open now. We have been getting some nice live minnows in with our new live bait holding tank which has been working great. Our hours of operation are now 7 AM to 10 pm see you around!

Josef caught this Mako in about 120 ft aboard the Lady B with the good looking mackerel we picked up from Captain Steves. As always thanks for the fresh bait and the secret coordinates for mako, enjoy the pictures.
This is Jim Norman with 3 nice flounder he caught Friday morning. He would have had his limit of 4 but the captain missed the fish with the net and it jumped out of the water and is down there now waiting to feed someone else. Jim is from NOVA and has a place here so we see him a lot. He had a long spell without any fish to take home but he made up for it today.

Here's some long time Chincoteague visitors from Lititz, PA (Jessica's hometown) John Hanna, Judge Wayne Hummer, Bill Binzen, and Grant Hummer, with the 21" keeper that Bill had on Sunday. It was pretty cold and breezy but we all laughing so much we couldn't feel the bites so we didn't have a lot of fish.
Peanut Brown with his first keepers of the season.
This is Kristen Black from the Richmond area with a flounder she caught Saturday afternoon that will feed the Tom Black family from Richmond, VA. They have a place here but haven't been able to get down for a few years. They said the last time they fished flounder had to be 15" to keep and were surprised to see those fat 17 & 18" fish being thrown back. Ahhh, the good old days!
Little Jacob out fished Mom and his Dad Rob from Manchester, MD by catching two keeper flounder 18.5" & 19.25" and the most flounder. Jim Scott from Laytonsville, MD had two keepers 18.75" & 19" also and out fished his co-worker Buck Gillispie. We only had 12 throwbacks today so the keeper ratio was much better!
Johnny, Peter, Jim1 & Jim2 all from different parts of PA had a good day fishing with Captain Charlie on the Island Queen. All 3 groups took home flounder for dinner! Sizes were 18.75 to 22" We only had 10 throwbacks but the clearnose rays at the end of the tide were numerous. I have seen cownose rays caught also.
Bonnie, Jim and daughter Caroline from Cincinnati, OH had never fished for flounder before and it was their day for the keepers, four of them from 19.5" to 22" with Captain Charlie on the Island Queen. This was their first time to Chincoteague Island and I believe they will be back! We also had 23 throwbacks.
Dogfish Frank limiting out and a personal record at 42 in. 25.14 lbs using Capt. Steve's 7/0 Moidified fishfinder rigs!
