Andy Strickler from York, PA with 2 keeper flounder from Saturday, one was 19" the other was 20". Overall the weekend was pretty good considering the time of year. They had a total of 5 keepers for the 2 days and caught about 20 total. A tip was to find the warmer water and try to find spots where you can get good drifts. They learned for this early in the season. The backwaters were by far warmer; we found some water at 58 degrees which seemed to produce the fish. The outgoing tide produced 80% of the fish. The fish that took the bottom bait were mouthing it and you had to wait what seemed like a lifetime before hooking them and we still missed some because they hung on for so long and we had to move because of running out of deep water. The fish that hit the top rig you had no problem with, they whacked it good and there was no waiting on them. The white mylar and chartreuse mylar helped considerably entice the flounder to take the bait. Capt. Steve’s minnows did the trick on a good start for the season.
John Sippel Jr. & John Sipple III from Glen Arm Md. caught 2 keepers 19 and 19.5 inches and had three throwbacks too. The were fishing Four Mouths aboard the “Hey Mikey” on 04/02/2010 Congrats on the cathes!
Emily Perkins, Erin Perkins, and Chad Regner from Bel Air, Md. had 3 keepers at 19 inches fishing Queen Sound aboard the “No Name” on 04/02/2010.
Capt. Paul Kleckner took out friends Nick Bogan pictured above and Mandy Mallet, they caught 6 flounder today 1-20" and 1-19". Pink was the hot color with live minnow and a pearl white Gulp covering the eye of the hook.

It’s been another long weekend the weather was beautiful and there were fish caught. I got to go to Lititz PA and spend some quality time in Lancaster County with the family. It is nice to get up was a good time and nice up there too. I got back late tonight and am catching up on the fishing reports. We have seen the flounder fishing pick up here and will see more fish caught as the season goes by. We are continually getting a surplus of stock and are improving our live well bait system too. Stop on in for all your fishing needs this nice weather looks to be here for a while get out and enjoy it. Tight Lines!
