The beach is now open it opened at 12 noon on Friday morning there are approx 400 parking spots and the Off Road Vehicle Zone is also open. This is great news and the recovery peroid was quick with as much sand which had to be moved. It looks to be a beautiful weekend for the island. Come and visit as we always love seeing people here on the island. Our friends Victor and Harrison caught over a dozen fish including some small blue fish and silver perch, seabass, and a oyster cracker fishing at memorial park. Off the surf
Brian DuBois from Ravena, NY caught this shark using cut bait, remember all sharks need to be 54'' to keep the toothy ones anyway and always check back to regulations for protected species of sharks.. Dogfish with no teeth can be taken with no size and creole limits. Use cut bait for the bluefish and sharks to give you the best shot at hooking up. We have in fersh bait spot and mullet and also big live minnows with the largest selection of frozen bait and tackle around. Swing on in for all your beach/ fishing need. We appreciate your business and are thankful for everything being back to "normal" around here.
Harrison with a little blue caught off Memorial Park.
Victor with their biggest blue of the day the had a great time fishing.
Silver perch was a fish sometimes not identified they are an excellent panfish but often to small to provide much sport.
The below pictures are of Bernard and Alex had a great day fishing the Chincoteague Bay at least 50 croakers over a four hour period and kept the 16 in the picture for their freezer.
