Sergio Urbina caught this citation dolphin trolling ballyhoo today.
James from Brooklyn, NY caught croakers and crabs off of Memorial Park Pier. He said crabbing was best on Assateague on the way to the beach in his last vacation before school starts.
Things finally have gotten back to normal as the rip currents have slowed down. I saw some spot caught off the surf along with a few rays and a couple kingfish too. In the bay it has been a bit slow around the Chincoteague Channel. In the Assateague Channel there was more of a concentration of flounder still a lot of throwbacks. In offshore action there were some nice dolphin caught and Capt. John Chenault went 1 for 3 on white marlin and they also had a blue marlin release. The inshore wrecks have not been producing too much as of late. We did weigh in a 3.5 pound seabass and a 3 pound triggerfish too. We have been thankful for the great turnout of people for this weekend. We hope everyone has a safe Labor Day weekend!
We just got our stainless steel crab measurers back in stock.
