Derrick Hock, Hunter Martin & Chris Martin of Shippensburg, PA, had a very good day today, catching a total of 56 flounder on the Chincoteague Bay. 6 of those flounder were keepers fishing today 08/02/2010.
Chase Hilderbrand, 13, of Hagerstown, MD, caught a very nice-looking flounder on a small dock in front of Tom's Cove.

Chris and Amanda from Winchester, WV with 4 nice flounder up to 3.5 # we had Saturday morning along with some kings out off the beach. Amanda had 3 of the keepers with Capt. Mike from the "Chincoteague View".
Koda from WV with his 1st flounder and Tori from Pittsburg with 1 of many croaker we had Friday morning. The families had never been saltwater fishing before so there was a lot of hollering going on.
he flounder bite continues to be one of the best I can remember for this time of the year. We've had several double headers and a few really hungry ones that had both hooks inside their mouths. The kings are in the ocean close to the inlet and the croakers are inside and spread out. Most of them are small but we're seeing a few more that are a little bigger than earlier. Hopefully that means the jumbos are on their way. The bite continues to do well off the surf with spot and kingfish too.
