Its been a slower pace the past two days with the winds picked up a bit and less people here, most people have to work and most schools are not out for Summer yet. We are starting to see some families come down who are njoying the beach hanging out fishing and crabbing. Mr. Ron Wolf caught about a dozen kingfish yesterday morning as others experienced success with dogfish a few blues and of course dogfish and skates. If you would like to take a charter we only book the best Captains out of our shop. They can take you on fishing expeditions, clamming excursions, and sightseeing tours too. Just stop on in or e-mail to book you a trip. If you would like to do it yourself in the Assateague Surf is a fun place to fish which a license is not required. Surf Fishing is very enjoyable being on the beach interacting with the ocean is priceless. There has been a herd of ponies traveling the rod to the beach the past couple of days I've taken a ride to the beach. Switching gears to flounder fishing do not be afraid to try something new bucktailing has picked up in popularity once again due to its effectiveness. We carry a large assortment of different bucktails for all different fishing conditions they can be tipped with squid, cut bait, and Gulp. Keep your rod moving for best results getting a reactionary strike from the fish. Another go to rig for bigger fish has been the adjustable bait rig which features an adjustable hook which helps with hook placement on bigger baits like Smelt, and fresh sut fish strips, squid, and tandem minnows too. Too many time as anglers we fall into a comfort zone just trying the same old, switching fishing tactics might make the difference in a successful fishing trip. Thats the fishing report for now.
