Flounder fishing seems to really be picking up, especially in the Assateague Channel, in particular drifting from Tom's Cove/ Memorial Park and drifting towards the Assateague Bridge. Off the surf there was so more steady action of blues, kingfish, spot, croaker, and some big shark off the surf today. Remember there is a meeting at the Chincoteague Community Center 9-23-2009 from 4-7 pm. This meeting is about the Assateague use plan so make sure to come out and voice your opinion.
