Brandi Lowe with her first ever shark off the surf they aloso had some spot too.
Fishing has been pretty good off the surf here lately with mostly pansized fish. There is spot, kingfish, and snapper blues being caught. Cut bait is workiung best for the blues; mullet rigs with finger mullet are doing the trick. Spots have been plentiful at different parts of the tide take bloodworms and or fishbites for best success and some small hooks( EC small surfballs do the trick). If you want to target sharks take out cut bait we have in fresh mullet and spot too. In the back bays a few keeper flounder are being caught. Some croakers were also hitting at Queen SOund off the rocks and north side of Assateague bridge (Piney Island). Offshore wrecks have been producing some triggers, seabass, and flounder. We have in the 7 inch flounder belly gulp which when combo up with some Spro Jigheads have been a deadly combination on the flounder. We have had some beautiful weather the past few days, The dolphin have also been plentiful at the beach putting on shows for the onlookers. For all you Off Road Vehicle users the ORV zone is open all the way to the hook. It does get skinny near the CG station so use caution when crossing and be aware of the tides. We have free tide charts here with the fishing regulations at the shop. For all hunters: We have the new rules and regulations book and also have in steel shot for marshhenning. That's the report for now. Tight Lines...
