It's been a long weekend as I was in Pennsylvania visiting family and going to a Penn State game. We had a great time, I did not have internet for a few days. Pete e-mailed me a report to put up for the past few days. Here is the report...
With winds blowing ENE the last 3 days we are looking for the red drum bite to really turn on off the surf the next few days. Fishing has still been productive off the surf with a couple drum reported caught and released in the evening on Friday. There were some nice bluefish and a few big shark caught saturday in the choppy surf, but Sunday's surf report is a lot more calm with the wind blowing ENE only 8 knots on Sunday which sounds like a perfect wind to turn the Reds on today. There were also a few kings and croaker reported in the surf and along the inlet. The flounder have started to show up in the bay a little more consistently, and with the water supposedly clearing up in the days to come expect the flatties to be showing up with some nice pics on the site. Also the Striper have started to show up near the bridges and structure at night around the island, so be sure to stop in to check out the hottest swim baits and jig head/tail combosfor the season. -Tight Lines
