It has been another good day here on the island. The fish were biting in the bay once again. The flounder bite has been really hot still the keeper ratio not the best but some nice ones were caught up to 5.5 pounds. The spot, perch, and kingfish are starting to show up in the surf. I also heard of a few bluefish being caught on cut bait. Use the small East Coast surf balls for these fish tipped with bloodworms, fishbites, and or shrimp. There are also some toothy sharks around a few anglers have been getting cut off. Make sure to always have a rig or 2 with steel leaders or wire for these situations. Offshore the schools of bluefin are still around. We have more fresh bunker in tongiht. Crabbing is still going strong you can see a lot of handliners on the way to the beach. That's the report for today. Tight Lines.
