The Derr family aboard the "Reel Drag" from Rosedale Md. had about 20 throwbacks some bluefish and this 20'' keeper caught by Robby age 11 fishing the Inlet.
Kailee Fletcher and Melissa Johnson from NY with a 20'' flounder caught drifting the Chincoteague Channel this morning.
Zach with his first ever 2 keepers 21” caught on 06/27/2009 Wallops Island.
These three lovely ladies, Pat Shineman from PA, her sister, Sara Pomish from Michigan, with the 20" flounder, and their good friend, Traci Lorio, from NY are regular visitors to Chincoteague. They're a fun group on a getaway weekend and must love being on the water because after fishing Sat. afternoon with "Chincoteage View" they were going cruising with Capt. Barry that evening.
Here's the Stinnett's, Dad Scott, Mom Bonnie, Josh(soon on his way to Parris Island to become a Marine, Thanks Josh) and Mikaela, with her nice flounder. Mikaela not only had the biggest, she had the most, too. Mon & Dad were thinking they would leave Mikaela behind on their next trip but on second thought, since they like to eat fish, said they would bring her along caught with Chincoteague View with Capt/ Mike.
Rich Gonzoph caught 20 flounder today,but only 1 keeper.19 1/2 inches. It was very windy out there.Went through a lot of smelts.
hey guys.....figured i would forward you the pics from the end of our wonderful week of vacation on the island. the first photo is the whol pa posse with 55 croakers and 10 pig fish. the second is my son nick fillman with 2 triggers and the third is my keeper fluke...all caught from the memorial park pier!...the park sure saved our fishin' excursions this week with th surf being so tough...thanks again for all your help each and every year!...jerry fillman...macungie pa......see ya in august!
