Day two of Captain Steve's Annual Rock Fish Surf Fishing Tournament proved to be even more exciting than day one with more rock fish landed. The morning began with anglers again spread across the beach adjacent to the parking area. At 9:30 AM Ranger Clay gave the OK and the ORV Zone was opened for business, alleviating some angler crowding and making the south end of the island accessible. Many anglers picked up and headed south. Ted B of PA though held his ground near the beach parking lot and it paid off for him big time. At 11:30 Ted brought in a 41 inch, 29 1/2 lb rock fish after a 10 minute battle putting him squarely in second place in the tournament behind Rick V's 39 1/2 pounder.
