fishing reports
Monday wind was a bit much and there was not to much caught off the surf. I am actually one of the crazies who goes even if the weather is not exactly perfect. I fished for about 2 hours and had a few baits stolen. In the bay there was not to much to report because I did not tlak to anyone who went out. Tuesday there was one big bluefish caught off the surf weighing close to 18 pounds. This is a great because we have not had one that big in years. In the bay Four Mouths had most the action Stefanos limited out in about 2 hours. A few more flounder fisherman came in with around 3-7 keepers. There were still some fish that were just under the limit but thats the way it is. The hot color is still chartreuse with pink and white working at times. Live minnows did it today good lick.Jimmy
Today we got suprised by the weather the wind was blowing but still a lot of people went out. The flounder were hitting good at Four Mouths reported Capt. John Smith of Wallops they caught 4 keepers and 14 fish total in a few hours of fishing. Most of the flounder were 15 and a half inches and he said all the boats had ample action there. The rig of choice was a chartruce bucktail and the chartruce mylar E.C. Flounder rig with live minnows. Surfside Mike Goodenough landed 2 stripers and kept one. He is pictured below with a 27 inch 17 and a half pound striper who bit on peeler crab this evening. He also got broken off so there are some big fish are out there. What a difference one day makes.

One rockfish measuring 33 inches and weighing 10 pounds was caught off of parking lot %235 using squid and a double rig. Saturday surf report another black drum was caught using a 8/0 modified fish finder with frozen peeler off parking lot %23 5 at the surf. The kingfish have started showing back up which is great because they are great table fare.
