Another breezy day with not to much caught off the surf. Four blues were the best that I heard of today; other than that an occasional skate but the weather conditions seemed to keep the fishing slow. Rock have started to make a showing mostly on an outgoing tide with artificials at night. Thats it for today ttyl, Jimmy
It was cold and windy nonstopped today. Hardly anyone went fishing, but many people were gearing up for fishing the rest of the week. The crabs are still doing well in the bay. Other than that we restocked all the jig heads 1/2 ounce - 1/8 ounce in a variety of colors. The most popular add on to the jigheads is the 6 inch whit and pink curl- tail for the rockfish.

Fishing/Hunting report
Rick V. saw more deer driving to the fishing hole than he saw all day yesterday in the outback 5 miles north of parking lot 1. Heard 75 hunters took 4 deer today. That was as of 6:30. May have been more dragged in after dark. The biggest fish I heard taken off today was a 21 inch stargazer by Chucky. A few more blues were caught off of fut bunker and some skates thrown in the mix. In the bay there were some more tautog caught at Inlet View campground by Kevin and friends from NY. It has also gotten a lot cooler and the geese have shown up another indication that the rockfish are around. Quick bait update we have in live eels and also fresh bunker. Any other tips comments or ideas just e-mail ttyl, jimmy

Off the surf this morning a few blues were caught 5 by Mr. Tony and 7 by Dean C. other anglers experienced moderate success. There were also a couple big bullnose rays brought in. The first is a star gazer that was caught by Con these things are electric check out this site and read about them...%5Blink%3Dhttp://www.oceanfootage.com/stockfootage/Stargazer_Fish/%5DLink%5B/link%5D
The stargazers are a family Uranoscopidae of perciform fish that have eyes on top of their heads %28thus the name%29. The family includes about 50 species in 8 genera, all marine and found worldwide in shallow waters. In addition to the top-mounted eyes, stargazers also have a large upward-facing mouth in a large head. Their usual habit is to bury themselves in sand, and leap upwards to ambush prey %28benthic fish and invertebrates%29 that pass overhead. Some species have a worm-shaped lure growing out of the floor of the mouth, which they can wiggle to attract prey's attention. Both the dorsal and anal fins are relatively long; some lack dorsal spines. Lengths range from 18 cm up to 90 cm, for the giant stargazer Kathetostoma giganteum. Stargazers are venomous; they have two large poison spines situated behind the opercle and above the pectoral fins. They can also cause electric shocks.

Today turned out to be another beautiful beach day although not as productive as the past few days. Mr Tony and Rick entered the ORV Zone early this morning and began fishing at high water. Weather wise it was a beautiful cool, sunny morning. The fishing for us proved to be very slow however. After a couple hours all we had to show was a 12" blue and a bent hook, the result of an aggressive skate.Other anglers this morning pulled in a lot of skates which kept them active, a few kingfish let anglers take home lunch. Later on in the day the blues started to hit with some consistency mixed in with a few sharks. Pictured below is a ray caught by Roger T. he had a good time fighting this one...
