Shane with another citation class striped bass caught eeling as Capt. Paul put him on the fish.
Heres the latest on whats been going on around the island. There still are not to many people fishing, we had a couple nice fish come in today caught drifting eels at the CBBT. Shane Whealton broke the 40 pound mark again, and Zach Jester caught 2 nice fish the biggest one weighing in at 25 pounds. There are a lot of people hunting around the island. Only a few people have braved the beach with not a lot of success. Put in some time and you can be rewarded out there. I just got back from Lititz PA where we had a wonderful Christmas celebration with family. Here is a neat link that Capt. Charlie sent it is very interesting
Stewart H. from Salisbury Md. caught this 44 pound citation striped bass in the Chesapeake using a chartruce tandem rig. These tandem rigs have been doing really well and have been the lure of the season.

Don West from Annapolis, Md.at Queen Sound drifting eels.
Bob Lewis with this 32.34 pound rockfish caught on a tandem rig.
It's been a cold few days here on the isand. We had our first snow which actually stuck just a light layer nothing like most of the Northeast expoerienced. I've been out with the flu for a couple of days the bug seems to be around. With the upcoming holiday season there have not been many people fishing. Duck hunting has been really popular here lately even Pete has gotten into the action with some dippers, as he had some of his college friends come ot town. I also heard from Chase Brown that Santa Claus will be coming to town he was thinking about fishing New Years Eve night but decided to go New Years Day. Thats the report at the moment. I hope everyone has a Happy and Safe Holiday Seoson!
Dan Zebek, Joe Huffman, and Drew Cooper limited out today on a fun trip with "Fish N Fun"
Today was the best of the past 3 for fishing. Anglers trolling off the beach did really well on striped bass limiting out. We have some new tandem rigs which have been doing really well out there. They are right by the door as you enter the tackle shop both white and chartruce have been effective with white working the best today. The Pequod with Capt. Joe, Drew Cooper, and Dan Zebec caught their limit of stripers and also had some releases and a big bluefish too. The water temp are dropping to 47 whihc turn the fish on to feeding frenzies. There are schools of birds once you find the birds you will also find the fish. Fin Crazy with Chuck, Vinny, and Jake also did well catching their limit too. There was also a nice striper caught by Don West from Annapolis, Md.at Queen Sound drifting eels this afternoon. The beachfront has been a little quiet as of late, as there are not as many anglers fishing I guess that has a little to do with the upcoming holiday season. We have been sending out a lot of gift certificates along with hat nad a few fishing shirts too. I'll have some pictures posted tomorrow as my card reader on the PC has been messing up. I'll download the drivers again and hopefully that should work. The has also been a large boat a Stilletto which was in the harbor. It has a ramp on the back with a large door for entry I am guessing for RIBS. Check out the website about it. It was in OC yesterday. I was used to catch drug runners in South America.
Cory K. from PA with this 42 pound citation striper caught off the surf yesterday he also had a 32'' and a throwback. Congrats on the great catch!
Capt. Mac with "Islander Charters" caught this 42'' striper drifting eels on a fun trip this afternoon.
