Today was a great beach day here in the island. Surf fishing was on for an hour then shut off throughout the day, there were periods where you could get blues frequently and mixed in with them were a few perch, kingfish, and sharks...and of course skates. It was one of the nicer beach days that we have had here latley, many people were sunbathing and swimming.
In the bay a lot more flounder were caught the only problem is that most of them are not legal limit. Aa few trout also showed up in the Assateagu Channel on a dock north of Memorial Park. There were also reports of a few charter boat captain who caught some tautog as well. In offshore action is slow, one boat had a tuna and dolphin. Thats it for tonight now time to watch some football.
