The water has calmed down quite considerably on the bay. It was still a little murky but there were finally boats out on the water. The fish were a little sluggish in feeding but there were reports of snapper blues, flounder and even some craoker being caught in the bay. Most of them were caught in the channel just in the Chincoteague Channel. Chris Hanse caught a croaker and a throw back flounder. You could see blues jumping out of the water. Take out some silver spoons, cut bait, or anything shiny for catching blues
Rick V. went out to the beach today to look around. It was high tide and the seas were rockin and rollin. The ocean had run over the parking lots again. I guess the lots will be closed at least til after this next storm passes thru. It is sad.
Looking south I could see the dunes on the piping plover and turtle egg beach. The dunes protected the beach from erosion and may have protected the eggs. Too bad the people beach didn't have dunes on their beach.
