Assateague beach parking this morning was limited to the north parking lot which naturally became the area where surf anglers tried their luck. The seas were exceptionally flat and the wind was calm making fishing very easy. Small blues were biting this morning on cut bait. Mixed in with the little guys were some keeper size blues that were also caught on cut bait. Rick V took 3 keepers and about a dozen small ones that were used as bait. One lucky angler even caught a blue on a silver spoon. Also caught at the beach were 2 keeper trout landed by Bob of Pocomoke that were taken on squid and fishbites. Tomorrow morning anglers will find parking on both the south side and north side of the loop. Inshore we saw a few more flounder appear. It seems like Mr. Tony brought in the largest one a 25.5 inch 5 and a half pounder and 2 other keepers pictured below.
